On 27 April Bloomingdale’s Dubai hosted their annual kids fashion show presenting children as young as three who braved the runway as they wore the store’s latest offerings for Spring/Summer 2013.
Dance music echoed from level two of Bloomingdale’s as outfits from the fashion world’s most coveted collections were displayed. Brands included Fendi, Monnalisa, Junior Gaultier, Dolce & Gabbana, Hackett, Aqua, Burberry Children and Paul Smith. The show commenced with a range of smart, chic casuals featuring color blocking and nautical looks followed by floral prints for the girls and trousers and t-shirts for the boys. For the final theme, contemporary and formal looks in monochrome and pretty pastels peppered the runway.
The tiny trendsetters seemed to love showing off their outfits as the crowd cheered them down the catwalk. From hats, to jackets, dresses, shorts and shoes, the stylists had them all covered. An adorable and memorable fashion show, as the kids whisked down the catwalk I nearly wished some of the clothes were in my size. One of the stylists even told me I could buy shoes for my husband which matched the D&G shoes worn by my son. Maybe this would be an option. Bloomingdale’s kidswear is a must see for any parent. With such a tempting collection, I’d advise you to keep a rein on your credit card.
