Sonia Rykiel recently celebrated the re-opening of their new womenswear boutique on Fashion Avenue at the The Dubai Mall. The brand is known for its vibrant spirit which encompasses the look and feel of the renowned Parisian street Saint Germain des Près through a sensual, sophisticated, chic, intellectual and eccentric creations.
Since 2013 the brand has been under the artistic direction of Geraldo da Conceiçao who has worked to give the modern woman a new look through the melding of different designs and materials – bringing together the past with the present.
The Dubai Mall boutique houses the brand’s mainline collection within a sophisticated and contemporary space of 125 square meters which adheres to the look and feel of the Sonia Rykiel flagship store on Saint-Germain in Paris. Warm oak wood furniture, gray chintz marble flooring as well as a sumptuous lounge area create an ambiance of familiarity and calm, while the omnipresent black lacquer mirrors remain one of the symbolic trademarks of Madame Rykiel and can be found throughout the brand’s boutiques worldwide.
On display is the brand’s Spring/Summer 2013 collection which is inspired by a romantic, bohemian and modern heroine who affirms her individuality and grace through magnificent style and elegant poise.
