Photos: JJAMZ Plays the Boulevard Pool
Indie-pop supergroup JJAMZ took over the Boulevard Pool on Thursday night, performing at the Set Your Life to Music series at the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas. Comprised of James Valentine (Maroon 5), Jason Boesel (Rilo Kiley and Bright Eyes), Alex Greenwald (Phantom Planet), solo artist Michael Runion and vocalist Z. Berg (the Like), JJAMZ was formed with a purpose – to create something completely different from the members’ previous endeavors. The result, proved by last night’s show, has been a success. Lead guitarist Greenwald brought the stage to life with catchy, pop-riddled guitar riffs while Berg’s sexy, spry intensity on tracks like “Heartbeat” and “Never Enough” fixated the crowd throughout the set.
