London: Got your GOAT?

West London is the Big Smoke’s answer to the Meatpacking District so when one of the local mainstays gets a makeover it’s news. And so it goes for the recently re-launched GOAT. What was once Goat in Boots has undergone a full refurbishment complete with an overhauled menu (from the folks who brought us Bumpkin and Boujis) and an entirely new look from the talented Finch Interiors.

The three-storey venue is now a stylish restaurant, inviting cocktail bar and all-day lounge. The feel is vintage glam, which is perfect because the new menu harkens back to Old New York. In addition to a classic brunch menu — think eggs Benedict and pancakes with maple syrup and bacon — the kitchen serves gorgeous wood-fired pizzas, steak and lobster and, of course, New York-style cheesecake.

The cocktail bar, brimming with innovative cocktails — try Death in the Afternoon, a delicious mix of champagne, absinthe and lemon — is just the type of place that makes you want to stay awhile, and we’d suggest you do just that.
