Named one of the “Top Ten Literary Gatherings” in the country by USA Today, Aspen Summer Words is a six-day celebration of words, stories, and ideas with a focus on China this year, June 16-21. Authors and speakers include Xiaolu Guo, Yiyun Li
, Lisa See, Sandra Tsing Loh, James Fallows and Deborah Gallows. The festival consists of morning writing retreats, afternoon literary festival events and one-on-one professional consultation with agents and editors. China is one of the oldest civilizations in the world, and storytelling going back at least 5,000 years.
For over three decades Aspen Summer Words has hosted more than 300 writers who have read, taught and performed for 20,000-plus audience members and students.
