Fashion and Hollywood are often paired together, as is the case with a haute new book based on the life of Salvatore Ferragamo.

Illustrator Frank Espinosa, a former employee of both Warner Bros. and Disney, will be adapting the Italian designer’s story in Ferragamo’s story in comic book form.

The book is said to be more of a graphic novel, and is adapted almost directly from the designer’s own autobiography.

The illustrations showcase Ferragamo’s time in Hollywood, his struggle in Italy and his experience during the second World War.

Limited autographed copies of the book are currently available at Salvatore Ferragamo’s flagship Fifth avenue store in New York for $9.
