Abu Dhabi International Airport is the First to Introduce ‘GoSleep’ Sleeping Pods
Get some zzzs for 13 USD per hour at the Abu Dhabi International Airport in terminals 1 and 3 with “GoSleep” sleeping pods for passengers to take a quick nap before a long trip. This thoughtful initiative by Abu Dhabi Airports Company (ADAC) is the first of its kind worldwide.
These Finnish designed “GoSleep” pods resemble a cocoon and convert into a flatbed that allow passengers to stretch out their legs in ease while they nap. If needed, the passenger can also partially or fully enclose the pod so that they separate themselves from the noise, light and crowd outside.
The airport already has 10 of these pods with an additional 35 to be arriving soon. Given the success of this useful sleeping gadget for tired travelers, ADAC plans to upgrade them so that they include internet access, secure storage compartment and charging outputs. Now you know where to charge up for a few extra zzz that you may not have been able to get on your flight.
