The Dorchester Celebrate 100 Years of RHS Chelsea Flower Show

If you are heading to London for The RHS Chelsea Flower Show (mind, one of the most important social events of the year), then an afternoon at The Dorchester is a must. This year marks the 100^th anniversary of the flower show, and to celebrate The Dorchester has added The Laurent-Perrier Floral Afternoon Tea to its menu, but for a very limited time.

The iconic British hotel has collaborated with Ulf Nordfjell, the designer responsible for Laurent-Perrier’s show garden, British Perfumer Roja Dove, and the pop-up Florist Corner. While the afternoon tea will include sweet indulgences like a lemon-shaped sponge cake filled with lemon crémeux and a white chocolate flocage and a patch of red fruit mousse flavoured with violet, on a crunchy short bread with a fresh crystallised violet garnish — served with Laurent-Perrier Cuvée Rosé, of course — this is more than an afternoon tea, it is a multi-sensory experience.

Taking inspiration from Nordfjell’s 2013 Chelsea Flower Show garden, lavender plays a major role in the hotel’s afternoon tea experience. Not only will guests be awed visually by the gorgeous floral displays, the Promenade will be flooded with the perfume of the limited-edition lavender-scented candles created by Master Perfumer, Roja Dove. Priced at £75, and available for purchase at Phil Hammond’s pop-up Chelsea Flower Show, Florist Corner, this the perfect way to take a piece of the flower show back home with you.

The Dorchester’s Laurent Perrier Floral Afternoon Tea will be served during the week of the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, from May 20 – 26. Book now because these reservations are sure to go fast.
