Haute Event: Steve Aoki Makes His Debut at Wet Republic
DJ Steve Aoki made his debut at Wet Republic at the MGM Grand where he revealed his daytime party “AOKIFY SPLASH VEGAS.” Aoki made his way to the DJ booth, where he was joined by friends and special guest Tiësto.
Taking his place in front of the turntables after 3 p.m., the deejay sensation addressed the packed pool deck and began his unrivaled set. Full of energy, Aoki spun hit after hit as daytime revelers flocked to the main stage to catch a glimpse of the turntable icon. With his futuristic daylife series, the DJ star had the pool party in full effect as he jumped into an inflatable raft and crowd surfed on top of his fans while dousing them with champagne.
Later in the day the energy of the pool club erupted as Aoki jumped atop of the DJ booth with a large cake in hand, selected one lucky guest and tossed the cake their way resulting in his signature “caked” stunt. The daytime destination was the place to see and be seen as partygoers danced into the early hours of the evening while Aoki spun his heart pumping remixes.
Also spotted partying at Sin City’s top daytime party was Will.i.am of The Black Eyed Peas as he partied with Aoki and his guests.
