The Strip’s newly opened nightlife mecca Hakkasan Las Vegas at the MGM Grand kicked off its highly anticipated grand opening weekend festivities with headlining DJ Steve Aoki as he debuted the first of his exclusive “Neon Future” parties to thousands of excited fans on Thursday night.

Just after 1 a.m. guests could not hold their excitement any longer as they began cheering, “Aoki, Aoki, Aoki!” and right before 1:30 a.m. the lights in the nightclub went dim, the energy of the crowd exploded and the celebrated DJ and producer appeared in the DJ booth dawning a Native American headdress with creatively installed LED lighting.

“What’s up, Las Vegas? Make some noise for Hakkasan!” Aoki shouted as he began his mesmerizing set full of hard-hitting beats.

As the night went on the breathtaking, two- level LED screen projected custom-made visuals that transported guests into a futuristic world envisioned by Aoki himself. Spinning his heart-pumping hits including “Living’ My Love,” “I’m In The House” while also debuting a few of his brand new remixes, the California-native put on a high-energy show as he was found jumping in the DJ booth, climbing atop the decs to spray his fans with champagne and selecting a few lucky devotees to crowd surf on a giant inflatable mattress.

“This is the grand opening of Hakkasan and I have been waiting for this day to party with all you crazy people!” Aoki said as he stood atop the booth and asked the nightclub to pose with him for a photo so he could remember this day.

Throughout the action-packed set futuristic themed dancers appeared dressed in a variety of eye-catching outfits as they performed numerous intricate routines to a number of Aoki’s fan favorite hits.

Just before taking over the DJ booth, Aoki was presented with a commemorative-framed gold disc by CEO of Angel Management Group Neil Moffitt to celebrate the first-ever performance of his exclusive event series and the official Grand Opening weekend celebration.

Meanwhile, the Ling Ling Club welcomed famed DJ Jessica Who as she manned the decks and kept the packed room on their feet into the early hours of the evening.

Earlier in the evening Hakkasan opened its doors for an exclusive blue carpet affair with Vegas Magazine welcoming Sin City socialites, industry influencers and local celebrities including Nate Morris and Wanya Morris of Boyz II Men, Donny Osmond, Brad Garrett, Jabbawockeez, Jaymes Vaughn and James Davis of Chippendales and The Amazing Race and more. The VIP event welcomed guests to a preview of Hakkasan Restaurant during a private cocktail reception offering a number of delicious Hakkasan bites allowing attendees to get their first-ever Hakkasan Las Vegas experience.
