Haute Event: Laidback Luke Closes Out the Grand Opening Weekend at Hakkasan
The nightclub at Hakkasan at the MGM Grand closed out its grand opening weekend with Laidback Luke. The celebrated deejay debuted his “REVOLT” party series, exclusive to Hakkasan, to a sold-out crowd.
At 1:30 a.m., the Dutch deejay took over the decks and spun his popular anthems to thousands of guests. Known for his cheerful persona, Luke introduced his darker side through his new event series in which the party experience evolved throughout the night as the energy progresses. The explosive performance set guests on a journey through Laidback Luke’s music with him in the forefront leading the “REVOLT.”
“Hakkasan Las Vegas is an experience beyond anyone’s imagination,” Luke says. “What I’m doing at Hakkasan will be completely different from anything my fans have seen or heard from me and I’m very excited to be able to celebrate and share this explosive series of events with my fans. REVOLT is a new time ready to happen.”
Also spotted partying at the newly opened nightclub was Grammy Award-nominated Ed Sheeran, Taylor Hicks, winner of the fifth season of “American Idol” and Apl.de.Ap of The Black Eyed Peas.
