First Bank is set to open a location in Aspen this fall, the Aspen Times reported. The Lakewood, Colo.-based bank firm will take over the first floor of a three-story building on the corner of Hopkins and Hunter streets in downtown. Currently, three small businesses–Boden’s Butter, The Autograph Source and The Cheese Shop–occupy the 2,600-square foot space.
The Aspen branch will offer a full range of services, including mortgages, home equity loans and commercial loans. It also will provide checking and savings account options as well as potential solutions for local businesses. Officials said they would be hiring a full staff and relocating some members from its Glenwood Springs location to Aspen.
FirstBank operates more than 115 locations in Colorado, Arizona and California. FirstBank is the largest locally owned banking organization in Colorado, serving more than 600,000 customers.
Since 2000, FirstBank has contributed more than $30 million and thousands of volunteer hours to charitable organizations.
