Spa devotees considered themselves lucky this week if they were among the VIP attendees at Travaasa’s Taste, Touch, Transform event.
Celebrities and members of the LA elite were treated to an evening of treatments and gourmet goodies on Tuesday evening at Kinara Spa on Robertson.
A haute crowd that included Peter Fonda, Mary Lynn Rajskub, Annika Marks, Shanola Hampton and Nikki Reed gathered to receive massage treatments and sample dishes prepared by Sang Yoon of Lukshon and Father’s Office.
Yoon created recipes inspired by the bounty found at Travaasa, Hana, including Hawaiian butter fish tartare with picked watermelon radish as well as tuna poke with sweet ginger wasabi espuma and Kona coffee custards.
Celebrity mixologist Matthew Biancaniello created specialty cocktails, drawing inspiration from from Travaasa’s Austin, Texas and Hana, Maui locations. The libations included a “Floresta Atlantica”: guava infused Ocean Vodka with ginger, lime, agave, blood orange, aloe vera and a“Roquette”: Hendrick’s Gin, lime, agave and wild arugula.
All left as one should leave a party always — relaxed and well-fed.
