Michael Kors Creates Pantsuit Based on Photo Taken of Beverly Hills Hotel Pool

Michael Kors - Runway - Spring 2013 Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week

Artistic types are sometimes inspired by the oddest things, but when you’re a high-end designer like Michael Kors, those quirky things are often rooted in luxury.

Such is the case with a pantsuit in the designer’s spring 2013 showcase, which was not just inspired by but actually taken from a shot of the Beverly Hills Hotel’s pool.

Luxe New York-based department store Bergdorf Goodman says: “So @michaelkors photographed this print at the The Beverly Hills Hotel and then digitized it.”

The top is available for pre-order for $895 and will be available at its LA location at The Grove soon.

Who will buy it? Anyone who loves luxury, Kors, the Pink Palace or the idea of wearing an item of clothing that honors a spot where classic Hollywood beauties of the past like Greta Garbo and Marilyn Monroe frolicked.
