Haute Event: Macklemore Performs at Tao with Olympic Swimmers Celebrating a Bachelor Party in the Crowd
Rap sensation Macklemore stopped by Tao at the Venetian on Friday night and headed straight for the DJ booth. There he treated the crowd to an impromptu performance of his hit single “Thrift Shop.” After wowing the packed club he stayed in the booth for a drink with DJ Eric D-Lux.
Taking in the surprise show were a group of Olympic swimmers in town to celebrate the bachelor party of Matt Grevers, six-time Olympic medalist and 2012 winner of the gold in the 100-meter backstroke. Spotted helping the groom-to-be celebrate were four time Olympic medalist Nathan Adrian, two-time Olympic medalist Ricky Berens as well as fellow Olympians Clark Burckle, Jean Basson and Bobby Hurley.
