Keith McNally’s Balthazar Opens in London
London’s most anticipated opening of 2013 has arrived—Balthazar has finally opened its doors. For the first time, London native Keith McNally has opened one of his iconic eateries outside of New York City. But McNally isn’t going at it alone, he has partnered with Richard Caring — owner of London mainstays The Ivy, Le Caprice and J Sheekey, among others.
Located on the corner of Russell Street and Wellington Street right in the heart of Covent Garden, the London branch of Balthazar will be almost identical to the Manhattan location in terms of appearance and menu. The French brasserie-inspired menu will offer a delicious selection of classic French bistro dishes, and the restaurant will be open for breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner and, in true NYC-style, weekend brunch.
Fans of McNally will be thrilled to hear that just like its New York cousin, Balthazar London will also have a Balthazar bakery located next door serving its own homemade artisan breads and pastries, salads and take-away sandwiches throughout the day. London just got that much better…
