Artists, designers and fashion enthusiasts alike gathered at XS Nightclub at Encore Las Vegas on Monday night for the launch of Las Vegas Fashion Week with MAGIC and PROJECT taking over the city.

PROJECT MVMNT, a new division of PROJECT aimed to serve the growth of youth culture, hosted the event at XS alongside several labels including Mint Currency, The:Odds, Skingraft, DNA, Android Homme, Neff, Black Banditz and B:Scott. Project MVMNT’s show, starting today, is aimed to unveil up and coming trendsetters, inspire innovation, support commerce and curate resources.

Diplo was a fitting headlining DJ for the event, known best for his sophisticated style as seen throughout fashion spreads in GQ. He is one of the most noticeable faces in dance music today and his residency, Mad Decent Mondays, at XS was the perfect setting for the fashion notables to celebrate.

Alec Monopoly, the alias of an unidentified New York City graffiti artist, brought a surprise element to the nightclub, creating one-of-a-kind artwork on platforms next to the DJ both for the guests to watch take form throughout the night. His original pieces also covered the nightclub’s iconic gold mirrors that surround the venue. The artist primarily works in the urban environments of New York, Los Angeles, London and Paris, using varied materials (including stencils, spray paint, epoxies, varnishes and newspapers) to subversively depict the mascot of the board game, Monopoly.

The party continued into the early hours of the morning, a proper welcome for all the design icons starting their week in Las Vegas.
