Anne Hathaway Dances on Valentine’s Day in Support of One Billion Rising Initiative

161703358As a newlywed, it isn’t surprising that Anne Hathaway would spend her Valentine’s Day dancing.

What is surprising: her dance partner wasn’t just with new husband Adam Shulman.

The Oscar nominee was flanked by actresses Marisa Tomei, Jane Fonda and Frances Fisher who danced in Hollywood yesterday in support of the One Billion Rising campaign.

The annual event was organized to help end violence against women.

Hathaway slipped into a tux and a fashionable menswear suit at the event.

She told The Guardian about her involvement with the cause: “I’m working on a project right now with Eve Ensler and V-Day called One Billion Rising which is focusing on ending violence against women in the world by getting people to dance. Right now we have 182 countries committed to dancing on Valentine’s Day. So I’m going to be dancing to try to end violence against women.”
