The Hard Rock Hotel hosted a full weekend of music at Body English Nightclub & Afterhours and Vinyl with hip-hop legend Grandmaster Flash, popular U.K. DJ Wally Lopez and more last weekend.

The weekend started on a high note with popular Spanish DJ Wally Lopez and Indie DJ E-603 at Body English Nightclub & Afterhours on Friday. The two turned up the noise at Body English with high-energy sets. Wally Lopez spun several hits including his ever-popular single “Can’t Stop the Beat” and E-603 spun the pop music inspired set that he’s known for as the crowd begged for more.

Vinyl was also bumping that night as Las Vegas tribute band High Voltage took the stage. The group played a set of AC/DC songs as patrons rocked out and sang along to the covers of their favorite songs by the legendary band.

The next night, Body English Nightclub & Afterhours kept the party going with electronic music DJs The Junkies on Saturday, Jan. 5. The notorious Canadian duo delivered a set that included several genres from deep, soulful house music to techno. Among the crowd was hard alternative band Otherwise. The group decided to stop by the club after playing a show in Las Vegas and will be back at Hard Rock as openers for Stone Sour and Papa Roach at The Joint on Friday, Feb. 15.

Empire Records hit the stage that night at Vinyl. The group of six played several 1990s covers including artists like Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Green Day and more to an excited crowd.

Wrapping up the weekend, hip-hop pioneer Grandmaster Flash performed for Body English Nightclub & Afterhours’ industry night on Sunday, Jan. 6. The Rock and Roll Hall of Famer walked the red carpet at 12:30 a.m. then hit the stage to a packed house as he yelled, “Somebody out there make some noise!” The crowd went wild as the legend spun several throwbacks, jazz, funk and everything in-between including “It’s Tricky” by Run-D.M.C., “Push It” by Salt-n-Pepa, “Baby Got Back” by Sir Mix-a-Lot and much more.
