Lladro Celebrates the Opening of its First Boutique in the Middle East

Last month, Lladro, Spain’s pioneer and clear leader of luxury porcelain launched its first Middle East boutique in Dubai Mall, the region’s most prominent retail destination. This 68 square meter boutique opened with a ribbon cutting ceremony followed by an elegant cocktail party at The Lounge, Dubai mall. Among those who attended the event were Angeles Lladro, Vice President of Lladro and member of the Lladro family; Mansour Hajjar, Managing Director of Allied Enterprises and Anthony Chalhoub, CEO of Chalhoub Group.

To mark this momentous milestone for the brand, Lladro unveiled a limited edition ‘Falcon’ made exclusively for the Middle East. The stunning piece, which appears as large as a real Falcon, is a special tribute to the region’s ancient art of falconry.

The lladro story started in 1953 by brothers Juan, Jose and Vicente Lladro whose first creations were made in a Moorish Kiln built in the backyard of their home in Almassera, on the outskirts of Valencia. Run since 2007 by Juan Lladro and his daughters Rosa and Angeles, Lladro is a multinational enterprise that, notwithstanding its size of over 1000 employees, has never ceased being a family business.

Undeniably one of the most universally recognized Spanish brands, all Lladro pieces are handmade in the brand’s workshops in Valencia, otherwise known as the city of porcelain. The precious pieces range from small beautifully handcrafted porcelain animals  to a massive masterpiece such as the Queen of the Nile worth tens of thousands.

Lladro is located in The Dubai Mall, +971 4 3398732.
