The network president Suzanne Kolb could not be anymore happier with the news of the newest Kardashian addition. On Dec.30, rapper Kanye West surprisingly announced the joyous news that reality star Kim Kardashian are expecting their first child together at his concert in Atlantic City. Along with all of the excitement for the two superstars, the network is planning to document her journey to motherhood.
Here’s what E! president Suzanne Kolb told The Hollywood Reporter in a statement, “Kim and Kanye are an incredibly dynamic couple, and their baby news is just so exciting.”
“Like so many Kardashian fans, we love it when this close-knit family gets even bigger. We look forward to sharing the joy as they prepare for more diapers, more bottle and without a doubt, more fabulous baby wear,” Kolb excitedly confirmed.
One thing is for sure, the network can anticipate ratings to shoot through the roof for the Kardashian’s upcoming episodes. On Jan. 20, the newest season of Kourtney & Kim Take Miami will be premiering, which is sure to cover more of the Kardashian clan’s journey in one of the hottest cities ever. If we look back on the season seven finale of Keeping Up With the Kardashians that aired on Nov.16, 3.6 million viewers tuned in to see the birth of Penelope Scotland Disick, Kourtney Kardashian’s second child with Scott Disick, the very same episode that made network history by making one of the top 25 broadcasts.
But it was E! special, Kim’s Fairytale Wedding that brought 10.5 million viewers over two nights, a special that documented her wedding to professional basketball player Kris Humphries in August 2011. Consequently, the two are still legally married after being separated after 72 days of marriage.
West has already made many appearances during their seventh season, after Kim and the superstar rapper began dating back in April 2012, with several hints that love could very well be in the air as Kim Kardashian wore “K” and “W” earrings throughout the show’s seventh season. Whether the reality superstar is having a girl or boy, many are anxious just to tune in.
