Aspen Film Announces Oscar Party

A scene from “Lincoln,” which is expected to be nominated for Best Picture. Academy Awards nominations will be released Jan. 10.

Los Angeles isn’t the only place with a red carpet during the Academy Awards. Aspen Film just announced it will again host a lavish Oscar Party at the Caribou Club on Feb. 24 and attendees can watch everything unfold during a live broadcast. After a successful debut at the members-only lounge and restaurant in 2012, Aspen Film will bring back the evening of cocktails, multi-course dinner and live auction for the 85th Academy Awards. The Oscar Party is a staple in the nonprofit’s event calendar, but its move to the Caribou Club last year added a rich touch that was welcomed by party-goers–expect the same fine dining, red carpet step-and-repeat and fanfare in 2013.

Aspen Film is a nonprofit that strives to enlighten, enrich, educate, and entertain through film. The organization just wrapped up its Academy Screenings. Other programs throughout the year include Aspen Filmfest and Aspen Shortsfest. The Oscar Party is a benefit to help fund education and film programs.
