Whitney Gala & Studio Party Raises Over $2 Million
Last night, The Whitney Museum of American Art hosted its annual Gala and Studio Party, sponsored by Microsoft and Pamella Roland, and raised more than $2.7 million. After a private sit down dinner, guests enjoyed cocktails and created their own art using the interactive Microsoft screens surrounding the dance floor.
Dinner guests joined Studio Party co-chairs Michael Avedon, Kyle DeWoody, Jon Neidich and VIP guests, including Hannah Bronfman, Lo Bosworth, Peter Davis, Ryan Humphrey, Daisy Johnson, KAWS, Charlotte Kidd, Jeremy Kost, Suzanna Lee, Bruno Levy, Justin Lowe, Dana Hammond, Liz Magic, Manish Vora, Timo Weiland, Jordan Wolfson and many others. DJ sets by Nate Lowman with Sennennes kept the crowd grooving through out the night.
Studio Party attendees were able to experience Microsoft’s new Windows 8 through interactive tablets and screens found surrounding the dance floor. A 55” touchscreen featured the new Fresh Paint app, capturing guests attention and allowing them to create their own virtual art within the walls of the Whitney.
