The Most Expensive and the Biggest Art Auction Sales of 2012

Over this year, art sales have set records among three of the major auction houses: Sotheby’s, Christie’s and Phillips de Pury’s, despite the international recession. This has been one of the biggest years in art sales compared to prior auctions. In November alone, Christie’s made nearly half a billion dollars off of contemporary art. With the year coming to an end, it’s only right to mention and show “The Biggest Art Auction Sales of 2012.” Here’s is a wonderful slideshow of masterpieces sold at the auction in 2012 and at the most expensive prices.
