Kardinale footwear is renowned for its extraordinary design and make, created using refined materials such as velvet, suede, anaconda skin and precious decorations such as appliques and twinkling rhinestones. Pensato, who created his first design at the age of 12, inherited his love and passion for shoe design from his father, Fernando Pensato, well-known as the “King of Cork Wedges” in the 1970s. “It was an honour and great pleasure to be welcomed as the ‘Prince of Street Slippers’,” said Pensato Jr. “I hope Dubai is prepared to enjoy the comfort of our quirky SS13 collection.”
The event saw guests welcomed through a dark, wrought iron gated pathway and mossy brick walls to preview the unique collection displayed in deep rose and vine entwined iron cages. A cellist entertained attendees with classical tunes while Pensato invited them to experience the comfort and timeless elegance of outstanding Italian craftsmanship with the exclusive opportunity to personalize their footwear with embroidery.
