The next morning I woke up feeling completely rejuvenated and took a dip in the ocean!
I couldn’t wait to escape the freezing New York weather and head to sunny Miami for Art Basel. Before all the events got underway and the craziness ensued, I lounged by Setai pool with my friend, Lisa Ruben. After a lovely lunch with Ali Kay (and her baby), I headed over to the Rubell Family Collection to see Michelle and Jason Rubell. They always have such amazing art! I spotted Kinga and Eddie Lampert, Barbara and Gary Siegler, Elsa Benitez, Rob Vescler, Lawrence Altman, Sara and Ugo Colombo and Steve Clark checking out the installations. Next, I headed to the White Cube party with my pal, Lesley Thompson Vecsler. We feasted on stone crabs and listened to music on the beach with Nicole Miller, Andre Balasz, Lady Victoria Hervey and Kamal Hotchandani.
After an eventful night, I couldn’t wait to get home and kick off my heels. The next morning I woke up feeling completely rejuvenated and took a dip in the ocean! After getting my fill of vitamin D, I headed to Fabian Basabe’s party. Eventually, I ended up at Alex Rodriguez’s beautifully decorated bachelor-pad, where he turned his at-home batting cage into an art gallery. I wrapped up the day at Chanel’s beachside barbeque for Art.sy hosted by Carter Cleveland, Larry Gagosian, Wendi Murdoch, Peter Thiel and Dasha Zhukova at the Soho Beach House.
The next day, I went back to the Soho Beach House for an intimate lunch hosted by Diane von Furstenberg and Evian. The food was amazing and the outdoor tent was decorated so elegantly. And of course, all the guests were dressed in DVF! I spotted Andre Balazs, Chelsea Handler, Ali Kay, Alex von Furstenberg, Genevieve Jones, Hamish Bowles, Derek Blasberg, Hilary Rhoda, Emily Smith, Lily Kwong, Nicky and Paris Hilton, River Viperi, Russell Simmons, Ben Pundole, Lorenzo Martone, Waris Ahluwalia and Johan Lindeberg enjoying the music by DJ Chelsea Leyland.
After an amazing (and exhausting!) week at Art Basel, I got a ride home from Miami to NYC on the Nakash family’s private plane. Scott Disick, Kanye West, Bert Dweck, Nicky Hilton also came along for the ride. As we made our way up north, we all reminisced about our time in Miami and how we couldn’t wait to come back next year.
