Apres-Ski with Antonio Banderas to Benefit AVSC

Mark your calendars for Sunday when Antonio Banderas hosts the Ajax Cup after-party, an event which is sure to sell out in its third year. Benefitting the Aspen Valley Ski and Snowboard Club, the ski race and apres-ski party takes place at the base of Aspen mountain. Here, the sun-drenched patio is the best place to watch 14 teams careen down the Little Nell run. Afterward, Banderas hosts an official after-party at 2:30, where awards will be dealt and libations will be consumed.

Though the Spanish actor may steal the spotlight, a bevy of professional skiers join him as well, offering an impressive range of talent on the Colorado slopes, including Chris Davenport, Chris Klug and Casey Puckett.

Racers will be on the course from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., and the party starts directly afterward. Tickets are $500 and can be purchased here.

The Aspen Valley Ski and Snowboard Club is the valley’s largest and oldest youth nonprofit, providing children with an opportunity to experience snow sports in the
Roaring Fork Valley.
