David Geffen has just purchased one of the most expensive penthouses in New York City.

The musical mogul and DreamWorks co-founder has just closed on a $54 million duplex penthouse in the Big Apple.

The upper East Side home was formerly owned by songwriter and socialite Denise Rich.
