Eric Ripert Launches $1,050 Luxury Caviar

The well-known French celebrity chef Eric Ripert of Le Bernardin never seems to surprise us, with his restaurant already receiving accolades for being dubbed the best seafood destination in New York City, the chef has unveiled his very own line of luxury caviar that is priced at a whopping $1,050 for 8 ounces.

Ripert has teamed up with Paramount Caviar to develop his line of luxury caviar. Paramount Caviar is the very same brand of caviar that has been served at Le Bernardin numerous times. The limited-edition premium sturgeon roe caviar that they have created, ranging from $525 for a 4 ounce tin to $1,050 for an eight ounce tin.

Eric Ripert Imperial Select Caviar has been described as creamy, briny, nutty and lightly salt. Also, the exclusive caviar is farmed in China, Italy and Israel. Ripert packages the caviar in a reusable white bag with blue trim, mother-of-pearl spoon engraved with the chef’s signature and an embossed blue satin pouch. Also, a mini container of crème fraiche and 16 handmade blini imported from France.

Just after weeks of unveiling a premium chocolate bar with his BFF and food personality Anthony Bourdain, Ripert debuts his line of luxury caviar. The cleverly developed chocolate bar is called Good & Evil bar, made of 72 percent rare Peruvian cacao and dark cocoa nibs. The $18 Good & Evil bar was inspired by Ripert and Bourdain’s friendship. The French celebrity chef Eric Ripert is said to represent good, while Bourdain represents evil.
