Bodo’s Schloss: London’s Royals Get a New Place to Party

Only a bar in London could pull off a location like Bodo’s Schloss: an old casino underneath the Royal Garden Hotel. Oh, and did we mention that it is next door to Kensington Palace? The Austrian Alps come to life in Kensington with the latest addition to the city’s posh party scene brought to you by the same people who own Mahiki (yes, that Mahiki… tiki, cocktails with umbrellas, Prince Harry at his naughtiest…).

Bodo’s Schloss is a near-perfect reproduction of an Austrian ski lodge complete with a vintage 1962 bubble car from Kitzbuhel and a seven-piece oompah band. Expect food to be traditionally Austrian with staples like Weiner Schnitzel and Spoetzle with a few modern twists thrown in for good measure (think schnitzel sliders). Cocktails are just as exciting with a variety of winter cocktails (heavy on the schnapps) and an impressive bottle list for later in the evening when the party gets going. The icing on the cake? “Those who take part in wearing traditional lederhosen, dirndl or mountain wear may entitle complimentary entrance.”
