WATCH: See What Changes ‘Glee’ Creator Ryan Murphy Has Made to Diane Keaton’s Former Home

He’s managed to create three of the most successful shows on television, but is Ryan Murphy able to make the same kind of magic in his home?

The creator of “Glee”, “American Horror Story” and The New Normal” takes The Hollywood Reporter on an intimate tour of the  $10,000,000 home he purchased from Diane Keaton in 2010.

He says he had been eyeing the Ralph Flewelling-designed Spanish Colonial Revival for ages, but thought it was too big.

He changed his tune, of course, and brought in designer Cliff Fong to create “eclectic interiors mixing ranch-inspired, period-correct furniture, contemporary art and photography and American Horror Story-worthy objects” for himself and his husband, David Miller.

Though he changed Keaton’s designs, he maintains, “Our mantra was, ‘What would Diane do?’ I’d say we changed 40 percent of it.”

In case you’re wondering whether or not art imitates life, he adds that “the sets he created for The New Normal are a near replica” of his own home.
