Haute Event: Robert Pattinson is the Lone Male Ranger at Elle’s Women in Hollywood Fete

He’s reportedly trying to make amends with his philandering girlfriend Kristen Stewart, but no one could blame Robert Pattinson if he was looking for a little ego-stroking from the opposite sex.

Monday night’s Elle Women in Hollywood party should have done the trick, especially as the Twilight star was the only male in attendance.

The British heartthrob turned up at the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills to present an award to Bel Ami co-star Uma Thurman, and stayed put to enjoy both dinner and the girls-only crowd.

On stage, the 26-year-old was his typical adorably bumbling self, warmly saying that Thurman is “someone more intelligent, more charming, wittier and better in bed than me … which,” he added with a smile, “was obviously very difficult to cast.”

As Thurman accepted her award, she responded: “Rob, you’re a real gentleman on and off the screen.”

Cate Blanchett, Elle Fanning, Emma Watson, Kristen Wiig, Octavia Spencer, Sarah Jessica Parker, Shirley MacLaine and Susan Sarandon were also honored at the event; Anna Kendrick, Jaime King, Emma Stone, Lea Michele and Nina Dobrev attended.
