What’s On My Desk: Jwalks’s Charlie Walk
Charlie Walk has an instinct for pushing the boundaries of traditional, well-defined business models. He’s a music industry heavyweight, serving as the CEO of CWE and formerly as President of Epic records, where he broke the record label mold by cross-pollinating music withd other media platforms to bring pop stars like The Fray and Natasha Bedingfield into the living rooms of Americans camped out in front of Greys Anatomy and Lost.
As the Chairman and co-founder of Jwalk–formed his partner Doug Jacob–Charlie applies his unconventional marketing strategy, sharp eye for talent and understanding of which way the cultural winds blow to a broader agency that has worked with businesses as varied as Lacoste, ABC and Equinox gyms.
