The Hummingbird Bakery Opens at The Dubai Mall
Cupcakes – the sweet craze which has speedily spread through Dubai. And now there’s a new place to buy these delicious and creative desserts. The Hummingbird Bakery has recently opened its doors in The Dubai Mall constituting the first time international Hummingbird Store outside of London.
The launch witnessed free cupcakes on offer to the first 1,000 visitors from 19:00 until the store closing offering visitors the chance to try The Hummingbird Bakery’s signature cupcakes for themselves. A taste of these delicious creations will prove just why the brand has gained such an iconic status in the UK, with a host of celebrity supporters including Gwyneth Paltrow, Rihanna and Stella McCartney. Those missing out on the promotion were offered a ‘buy six get two free’ postcard redeemable in store over the next two days.
The Hummingbird Bakery is an American-style bakery founded in 2004 to bring the authentic taste of American home baking to London. The company has five branches, which are situated in Notting Hill, South Kensington, Soho, Spitalfields and Islington. All of The Hummingbird Bakery’s products are sold fresh and are baked on-site by hand throughout the day. ‘The Hummingbird Bakery Cookbook’, published by Ryland Peters & Small in 2009, has sold more than 650,000 copies. ‘The Hummingbird Bakery Cake Days’, the second Hummingbird Bakery cookbook, is published by HarperCollins and was released on 17th March 2011. It has already sold more than 130,000 copies. The Hummingbird Bakery is a privately held, self-funded company.
