Haute Event: Dylan’s Candy Bar Opens in Los Angeles

Dylan Lauren is finally enjoying some sweet success on the West Coast now that she’s finally debuted the first Los Angeles location of Dylan’s Candy Bar.

The Candy Queen opened the doors to her candy shop at the Original Farmer’s Market on Saturday afternoon.

She was joined by a slew of celebrity pals, who filled flip-flop embossed tins with a variety of confectionary such as the shop’s signature sweet, clodhoppers, to sea salt chocolate almonds to sour patch kids.

A svelte Janet Jackson, who arrived with boyfriend Wissam Al Mana, sent a huge bouquet of candy-coloured roses to Dylan prior to the opening, which were displayed prominently on the front counter during the weekend’s opening party. She was one of the first to arrive and immediately rushed over to greet the guest of honor.

Other famous faces in attendance included Marcia Cross, Mario Lopez, Jason Biggs, Apolo Ohno, Blair Underwood, Elizabeth Berkley, Darren Starr, Sela Ward,  Soleil Moon Frye and Alexandra Von Furstenburg.
