Oasis Frontman Liam Gallagher Drops $2.5 Million On Essex House Apartment

Alt rock staple Liam Gallagher paid $2.5 million for a 2-bedroom, 2.5-bath apartment at 160 Central Park South. Stribling broker Mary Ellen Cashman initially listed the property on the 17th floor of the Essex House at $2.9 million. The pugnacious Brit rocker, known for his outsize ego and fraternal conflicts with bandmate/brother Noel during (and well after) Oasis’ heyday, will be able to quench his well-known thirst at the pied-a-terre’s 40-bottle wine cooler.

Oasis broke up in 2009. Liam currently fronts the rock band Beady Eye; Noel is not a member.
