H&M Scattering David Beckham Statues Around LA (And He’s In His Underwear!)

Michelangelo’s David statue may reside in Florence, Italy, but it’s got nothing on the new David statues popping up around LA.

In what will go down as one completely strategic marketing move, H&M has installed two life-sized statues of soccer star David Beckham around Los Angeles.

The LA Galaxy player – who has the fitting nickname of ‘Goldenballs’ – has collaborated with the retail chain to create the underwear line David Beckham Bodywear.

The statues can be found at Hollywood and Highland as well as at H&M’s Beverly Center store.

Fans who come across the Beckham statues are encouraged to Instagram photos of his likeness and may even win their own mini-bust. Other prizes include a signed pair of David Beckham underwear or a $1,000 H&M shopping spree.
