Haute Event: True Blood’s Janina Gavankar Hosts at Tao Beach

Janina Gavankar of “True Blood” hosted Maxim Fridays Summer Issue Release Party at Tao Beach at the Venetian on Friday. The brunette bombshell posed for a few photos on the red carpet in a flowing Blacmera dress, black suede booties and Jessica Ricci jewelry before hanging out in Tao Beach’s Grand Cabana with a small group of friends.

While overlooking the pool party, Gavankar graciously took a few snapshots with fans in her cabana before taking in the sun and snacking on fruit and spicy tuna tartare on crispy rice.

Over at Tao Asian Bistro, actor Anthony Mackie was spotted with his girlfriend and a few friends. The group enjoyed some of Tao’s signature servings including lobster wontons, crispy soft shell crab with yuzu mayonnaise and Tao-tinis.

On Thursday night, Mackie dined at Lavo at the Palazzo with his family. They ordered the Kobe meatball, chicken parmigiano and spaghetti carbonara at the Italian eatery as they laughed their way through dinner.
