There’s going to be just one more reason to visit Santa Barbara in the very near future when Suzanne Goin and Caroline Styne’s new restaurant comes to town.
The owners of A.O.C. and Lucques have chosen stunning Montecito for their new, still-to-be-named eatery.
The restaurant will open at 1014 Coast Village Road in the shopping center that currently houses Von’s called the “Montecito Country Mart”; it is owned by James Rosenfield of J.S. Rosenfield & Co., the same force behind Brentwood’s Country Mart.
Goin and Styne have relocated Lucques and A.O.C. veterans Javier Espinoza and Julie Grimm to act as chef de cuisine and GM.
They will be serving season meats and fish, stews, burgers and pizzettes; Styne will oversee farmers market cocktails.
Jeffery Alan Marks will decorate the new Santa Barbara space and plans to bring a “Montecito farmhouse” feel to the space in a San Ysidro Ranch kind of way.
The ladies are looking to open their new venture in the late Spring of 2013.
