Second Annual artMRKT Hamptons Features A Plethora Of Repeat Participants

The second-annual artMRKT Hamptons opened Thursday through Sunday at the Bridgehampton Historical Society featuring 40 prominent galleries from across the country.

The artMRKT exhibited orginal contemporary paintings, sculptures, photography and prints. The opening night preview Thursday benefited the Parrish Art Museum and featured noted chef Leon Gunn’s refined take on a Hamptons summer barbeque.

Making their return was New York galleries Lennon Weinberg, Nancy Hoffman, Kathryn Markel and Morgan Lehman, along with the Hamptons’ Halsey Mackey, Shelter Island’s Boltax Gallery, Miami’s 101/Exhibit, St. Petersburg’s Mindy Soloman Gallery, and the Providence AUREUS Contemporary gallery. New participants include P.P.O.W., DC Moore, Envoy Enterprises, Allegra LaViola and Tennessee’s David Lusk.

The artMRKT fair was launched by fair veterans Max Fishko and Jeffrey Wainhause. Other artMRKT events occurr in San Francisco, Texas Comptemporary, and soon-to-be Miami.

Managing editor Wainhause said of the event, “Our aim is to create an enjoyable experience for our clients and to make the fair easily accessible. ArtMRKT is centrally located in Bridgehampton near wonderful restaurants and shops, and the venue and layout of the fair enables the galleries and artists to be the true stars of the show.”
