Loewe at Neiman Marcus SF – Meet Creative Director Stuart Vevers on Friday 8/3

Founded in 1846 by Enrique Loewe Roesberg, Loewe became the official supplier to the royal Spanish Court in 1905.   The Amazona handbag, as seen above, was born in 1975 and remains an iconic emblem of the house.  Since then, Loewe remains as one of the finest leather goods companies in the world, a house seeped with over 160 years of history and a dedication to craftsmanship.  As the concept of “it-bags” fades as a trend, Haute Living can’t help but predict that this handbag will not only become a must-have for next season but also one to carry for generations.

The Amazona is created from 61 pieces of leather, of which are selected from the top 5% of all the leathers from the tannery.  Then after six and a half hours of work from four different expert craftsmen, only then it is ready for one to enjoy.  The shape is timeless.  The quality is incredible.

Furthermore, the ability to procure one of these beautifully made bags is quite limited.  For sales in the United States, the Loewe Amazona is only sold at Bergdorf Goodman in NYC, Beverly Hills Neiman Marcus and luckily for us Northern Californians, San Francisco Neiman Marcus.   The best part is that the Creative Director of Loewe will be coming to San Francisco to meet and greet avid fans or curious fashionphiles.  On August 3, this Friday, from 1pm until 2PM, Mr. Stuart Vevers will be at Neiman Marcus San Francisco (1st floor of designer handbags) to help introduce the new fashion guard to an old treasured house.
