American Idol‘s golden girl Jennifer Lopez has officially announced her decision to leave Fox’s hit singing competition show.

La Lopez is the second judge in 24 hours to bid adieu to the program, of which is primarily shot in Los Angeles; Aerosmith rocker Steven Tyler said his goodbyes yesterday.

Jenny From the Block made the news official on Friday morning on On Air with Ryan Seacrest.

She told Seacrest, who also doubles as AI’s host with the most: “I’m telling the absolute truth in that I really have been torn. It all kind of worked together for a while, but it just gets more complicated … And something has to give and that’s, I think, where I am right now.”

Though Idol has existed for nearly a decade and is responsible for discovering Jennifer Hudson, Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood, its ratings slumped majorly last season.

Original judge Randy Jackson is the last man standing in this shocking shake-up.
