Haute Event: Soledad O’Brien and Brad Raymond Host 2nd Annual New Orleans in the Hamptons Gala

A few months back, I had the honor of writing a story based on the life and soaring career of journalist Soledad O’Brien. From one journalist to another, I have always admired Soledad’s sincerity, unwavering support of underprivileged young women and her deep ties to her roots.

Marking their second year as hosts of the New Orleans in the Hamptons Gala, Soledad and her husband Brad Raymond have fought tirelessly to brighten the futures of women everywhere, bringing new opportunities into their lives and providing them with a sense of hope.

The second annual event kicked off with a cocktail hour with concoctions mixed by Belvedere Vodka, and a live performance Jaz Sawyer Trio. And in true New Orleans tradition, the menu included dishes such as Crawfish Spring Rolls, Jambalaya and Shrimp and Grits.

Notable guests in attendance included Pharrell Williams, Russell Simmons, Kevin and Erica Liles, June Ambrose, Allen Houston, Dr. Steve Perry, Ervin Mayfield and Alina Cho.
