ArtHamptons Fine Art Fair To Include Marlene Rose Sculptures
The fifth annual ArtHamptons contemporary art showcase comes to Bridgehampton this weekend, and one of many standout shows will take place at Galerie LuCo, which will feature the hand-cast glass sculptures of Marlene Rose. Rose often applies her painstaking sculpting process to found objects, frequently fashioning them into spare odes to Buddhism. The artist, acclaimed and respected for her work in the laborious and dangerous hand-cast glass medium, has enjoyed a long, fruitful history with Galerie LuCo. Her latest works have already been show this year in New Orleans and San Francisco and will travel to Chicago in the fall. Check out the full slate of events at ArtHamptons, which this year pays tribute to the Jackson Pollock centennial and runs from Thursday night through Sunday.
