Isaac Mizrahi and W New York Downtown Present Grand Classics: “New York In Film” Screenings

Isaac Mizrahi and Derek Blasberg - Coralie Charriol Paul

When Isaac Mizrahi is in the room, everyone’s in for a party. The designer is full of endless energy and was the perfect host for “New York in Film”—the first in a series of Grand Classics summer screenings. Alongside Derek Blasberg, guests had a lovely view from the 31st Floor Residential Lounge at the W New York Downtown. The invite-only crowd set the stage for tonight’s public screening. Tickets are available by clicking here.

Guests included Amanda Ross, Amy Sacco, Coralie Charriol Paul, Jennifer Creel, Patricia Field, Waris Ahluwalia, Starwood Hotels Global Brand Leader Vincent Gillet, and W New York Downtown General Manager Wolfgang Wehen.

The film shown last night was Bob Fosse’s timeless classic, Sweet Charity—and Isaac provided the film’s naritive, talking about how the film’s style has helped inspire his career.

Proceeds from the screening will support Isaac’s chosen charity, The Good Shepherd, an organization that serves over 20,000 New Yorkers with focuses on youth development, education and family services.

Next up for Grand Classics will be a film presented by Spike Lee on July 26. Stay tuned for more information and his film of choice.
