Haute Event: The Wanted and LMFAO Put on a Show at Lavo

British pop stars The Wanted perform at Lavo Nightclub.

On Sunday night, British boy band The Wanted hosted Vice Sundays at Lavo at the Palazzo. Fresh off of a Billboard Music Award performance, the group dined on signature dishes at Lavo Restaurant, where they were joined by manager Scooter Braun and singer Carley Rae Jepsen, who also posed for on the red carpet with them.

Fans lined the ropes of the carpet in hopes to grab a photo of the breakout band before a cheering crowd welcomed them with excitement as they entered the nightclub and took to the stage. The Wanted surprised club goers with an impromptu performance of “Chasing the Sun” and their hit single “Glad You Came,” changing the lyrics at the end of the song to “Las Vegas will never be the same. I’m glad we came.”

Singer Carly Rae Jepsen also headed up to the nightclub after dinner. DJ Vice played her new hit song “Call Me Maybe,” welcoming the singer as she walked in. Jepsen took in the club scene and cheered on The Wanted as they performed.

LMFAO and the Party Rock Crew joined the celebration after winning six Billboard Music Awards to taking over VIP booths on the dance floor. Soon enough the entire club’s attention was on the crew as Redfoo took to the mic ready to celebrate, stating their big win was “because of the fans. If it wasn’t for DJ Vice and our own DJs on the 1’s and 2’s, none of this would be happening right now.”

A sweep of chart topping LMFAO songs including “Party Rock Anthem,” “Champagne Showers,” “Shots” and “I’m Sexy and I Know It” dropped as the crew entertained the club from their VIP area. Redfoo took the party to a whole different level as he not only performed, but shuffled for the packed crowd on top of a speaker.  A sea of phones, hands and glow sticks filled the air as confetti canons rained on the excited crowd. Even The Wanted band member Tom Parker couldn¹t watch from afar as he shared the stage with a shuffling robot, glow stick in hand.

R&B artist Jeremih made a late-night stop to the club as well, joining The Wanted’s table and topping the night off with a performance of club hits “Birthday Sex” and “Down On Me”. The crowd went wild for what was the third surprise performance of the night with their hands in the air as they sang along to every lyric.

Up and coming pop singer Eva Universe was also spotted in the nightclub, watching the action from her VIP table.

At Tao at the Venetian, Taio Cruz was seen dining for the second night in a row at the restaurant with friends. He enjoyed Orange Chicken among other specialties, stating that he loved the food.
