Haute Event: The Miss USA Contestants Don Kooey Swimsuits at Trump

On Wednesday afternoon, Trump International Hotel Las Vegas and the Miss USA Competition held an invite only, swimsuit fashion show on the pool deck. All 51 Miss USA contestants wore suits by official provider out of Australia, Kooey Swimwear, and strutted around the deck while interesting facts were read about them to the crowd. Reigning Miss USA, Alyssa Campanella emceed the event with Sir Pearce, while DJ Ikon hit the decks.

The swimsuits worn by each of the contestants were from Kooey’s last three collections. The designs found their inspiration from the Australian landscape and featured bold styles and striking colors. The word Kooey itself is distinctly Australian, a well-known call to attract attention over long distances. The contestants will wear different swimsuits by Kooey during the competition June 3.
The 51 contestants along with Alyssa Campanella signed a commemorative framed swimsuit after the fashion show The memorabilia will be auctioned with all proceeds to be donated to St. Jude’s Ranch for Children in Boulder City.

Ricardo Laguna, the BMX rider and MTV personality, showed up for the event as well.

Miss USA pits 51 of the world’s most beautiful women against each other to win the title for 2012. Reigning Miss USA Alyssa Campanella gives up her crown at Planet Hollywood Resort on Sunday, June 3, at 9 p.m. ET on NBC.
