On Friday, June 29th former San Diego Charger Hank Bauer will host the NeXt Generations Gala and Golf Tournament, along with Inter Tribal Sports ambassadors NFL All-Pro Lorenzo Neal and NBA Hall of Famer Bill Walton. The event will be held at Barona Creek Golf Course located at 1932 Wildcat Canyon Road, Lakeside, CA 92040.

The golf tournament begins at 9 am and will include an awards reception, along with contests from 3pm- 4pm. But that’s not all, the night will finish off with a gala event that includes live music, entertainment, auction items, a raffle, not to mention mouth-watering food that all begins at 6 pm.

What makes this event so great is that it is for a good cause. All proceeds will go to ITS so that they can continue to provide services to Native American youth in the local community. ITS is indeed, a non-profit organization that unifies tribal youth through structured athletic programs and with the help of these programs youth are able to develop athletic skills, form friendships, along with valuing education. The organization also provides cultural, mental, spiritual and physical development. Through ITS the opportunities for the youth are endless and with the guidance of appropriate role models youth in the communities are able to build respect, acceptance, self-esteem through wonder activities.

Here’s what executive director of ITS, Ben Foster had to say about the event, “We couldn’t imagine a better way to celebrate a decade of helping thousands of kids from 22 tribal communities get involved in sports and lead healthy lifestyles.”

“We hope everyone will come out to support the NeXt Generations Gala to benefit ITS, a model organization for communities nationwide, helping children build character, self-esteem and a positive outlook on life.”
