The World’s First Gold iPad Launches in Dubai
Dubai-based Gold and Co London unveiled their newest gold platted iPad 3 making it the first gold iPad in the world. After the company’s successful launch of 24K gold iPad 2 last year, it was largely foreseen that they would move onto an even more glamorous item.
The iPad 3 is gold-platted with 24K gold and will be limited to only 250 units. The 64 gigabyte gold gadget will be presented in a luxury handcrafted wooden box and will be available in UAE at Damas stores. According the CEO of Goldand Co Mr. Amjad Ali, the Gulf region is one of the company’s biggest markets; “we can probably sell 250 iPads without a problem,” he said in a recent interview.
The one-of-a-kind iPad can now be found at Damas Jewellery stores in Dubai Mall. It retails for approximately $4559 and will be auctioned to raise funds for local charities.
