The 29th annual Miami International Film Festival kicks off tonight with the debut of film Mariachi Gringo by Tom Gustafson. The inspiring film is about a man’s determination to reach his goals in life despite the many hardships that emerge from being a Hispanic immigrant in the U.S. The opening gala also includes a performance by singer Lila Downs and a Mariachi band performance at the Olympia Theater in the Gusman Center for the Performing Arts.
After the World Premiere of Mariachi Gringo, Patron XO Café Noir is hosting another opening night party at Miami’s Dupont building with appetizers from 5 Napkin Burger, Altamare, Largo Bar & Grill, Meat Market and Tuyo.
